A small agency with a big engine room.

Jolie is one recruiter who answers her own phone. Behind her is JobGen, who build and run the board, the CV form and the matching that keep a one-person agency working like a much larger one.

Krystle on how recruiters actually get hired.

Recorded with JobGen for their channel. 42 minutes on what the Rec2Rec desk really looks like from the inside: standing out in a crowded market, what agencies are listening for in an interview, and the mistakes that quietly cost recruiters the role.

What JobGen runs

Four things you have already used.

  • The live job board

Every role Jolie is working sits on a board JobGen hosts and maintains. One place to publish, so a role can never be live on the site and closed in reality.

    See the board
  • CV submissions

The form your CV goes through, and the system that keeps it. Your details land somewhere structured and private rather than in an inbox.

    Submit your CV
  • Candidate matching

When a role opens, JobGen's matching reads across everyone who has ever submitted and surfaces the people worth a conversation — including the ones who applied for something else months ago.

  • This website

Built and maintained by JobGen, which is why it loads quickly, works on a phone and can be rewritten by Krystle without anyone touching the design.

Questions

Does software decide whether I get the job?

No. Matching surfaces people for me to look at, and that is where it stops. Every shortlist that reaches an agency has been read by me, and nothing goes anywhere without your say-so first.

Who can see my CV?

Krystle, and nobody else until you approve a specific agency by name. Your details sit in the JobGen system rather than in an inbox, which is the point — it is access-controlled, and it is not a folder on a laptop.

Why is the job board on a different website?

Because roles change daily and a marketing site does not. Keeping the board in JobGen means what you see is what is genuinely open right now, rather than a copy that someone remembered to update.

I applied months ago and heard nothing. Am I still in there?

Yes. That is exactly what the matching is for — when something opens, it reads across everyone who has ever submitted, not just this week's applicants. Old CVs are the ones that most often turn out to be the right ones.

For recruiters

Send us your CV. We will keep it between us.

A confidential conversation about what you actually want next, rather than a résumé blasted across the market.
